2008-2009 A1GP will be held in Lippo Village, Indonesia which happened to be around my home. I’m quite surprised when I heard about this, where is the track? There was many speculation and fan made map before they announce the official data. So many A1GP fans out there in Indonesia.

What a coincidence that Lippo Karawaci just changed it’s name to Lippo Village recently. The Lippo Village will be famous and the world know about it. 22 nations will battle out in the humble suburb of Jakarta. It must be part of the marketing to hold such a big international event.

The official map of the race track is as follow.

The colored area on the map are the grandstand. It’s offer better spot to watch but come with some more on the ticket price. The most expensive is the zone c then zone A and the last is zone B. The price is as follow Rp. 1,2 Mil, Rp 1 Mil and Rp 800K. For general admission is Rp 250K. The ticket is valid for 3 consecutive days (Fri-Sun) with a complimentary A1GP Lippo Village “race kit” merchandise.

If you live in Lippo Village, you’ll get special price, a little bit cheaper than the regular. It’s Rp 1.05 Mil for Zone C, Rp 850K for Zone A and Rp 675K for Zone B. The general admission is Rp 225K.

A good bargain but still it can’t justify me to watch something that I don’t quite interested.

It was ages ago since the word “electone” get into my ears. It’s the three, yes it’s three keyboards electronic instrument. One of the hardest instrument in my opinion since you have to coordinate your two hands and two feet to fully play it.

A couple months ago when I went to Grand Indonesia, I was stumled on a crowd surrounding a small stage. A young man was playing a keyboard. No, it’s an electone.

He was performing like a pro, with a composition that I never heard before. Must be his composition. It’s rich and dynamic. I was standing in awe. God must be crazy. This kid got talent.

After he performed he was interviewed. No wonder he was that good eventhough just 16 at that time if I’m not mistaken. He was preparing him self for an International competition. No wonder.

Today my brother just sent me a link to a video in youtube. Hey, it’s him. The electone boy. It’s his performance on 2007 electone competition. He got the first prize for Junior section. By the way, his name is Kenan Loui Widjaja.

If you think his performance in this video is fantastic, you’ll gonna be awed even more on his new composition I saw. Btw he just won the first prize 2008 Asia Electone Festival for Open Age three days ago.

Here is his 2007 video competition performance titled “Angin”, the wind. Sorry link only, embed is disabled for this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MlQfqQXrIg

If you have link for his new video, please share it.

Our judgements and decision makings all are depend on inputs from senses and our memories. One of the component from eyes senses are colors.

Do you aware colors biased your judgement all these times? You don’t believe it? Well, the researchers at University of Munster’s Institute of Sport Psychology in Germany can proof it to you. Can you imagine, they got Sport Psychology Institute?

They conducted an experiment back then on last Olympic games in 2004 and published as a scientific journal in 2005. They analyzed the data for four combat sports (boxing, taekwondo, Greco-Roman wrestling and freestyle wrestling). Athletes that wearing red colored gears won more often.

The color it self related to perception and have impact on subconscious. Red color is associated with bravery, strength, power, dominance, aggression. The athletes wearing red color will make them feel more confident, stronger, braver and more confident. On the other side, the rival will have similar perception too, they will subconsciously crippled by their rival’s dominance color.

The judges are biased as well. Those researchers try an experiment where they digitally swapped gears colors of the athletes and asked 42 experienced taekwondo referees to assign points for each fighter on each video at two separate times.

They realized that it’s the same video, the same fighters, the same performances but the results are totally different. When the fighters wearing red gears they were assigned with more points than while they wear blue gears. Statistically it’s eight points higher on the average.

What a fair life isn’t it? Biased by color.

After knowing these, in your next competition you can pick more dominant color for your advantage.

Meanwhile let’s check out the current olympic games, are those fighters with red colored gears win more often?
