Safari+=Chrome

The new Safari 4 is really add features in Chrome like tab in window bar and most frequently page but in cool way. I really like how the Top Sites, Cover Flow History, Cover Flow Bookmarks are presented. Apple DO know how to make things look good.

The JS is snappier compared to previous Safari and Opera but I believe Gears is still not working well in this release. One thing that keep me back to Safari is it’s performance. I like the way it scroll, so smooth. Guess I don’t need Chrome in my OSX anymore.

Newspaper online

It’s the picture of google’s first newspaper archive. Started with the big headline when US announce their big success of first landed man on the Moon.

Google start to archive old newspaper started with Pittsburg Post-Gazette. If this effort is keep on rolling on, we’ll have the news ready online 24/7 and the past event we’ll be easily accessible thru this service.

Local newspaper start to roll this similar service too, one of them is kompas with it’s epaper. It use softpress technology.

For a cheapskate like me, free services like these is a very good news. I don’t have to spend money to buy newspaper since most of the contents I looked for is it’s advertising. One more thing, less paper used, less tree cut down. Go green!
