Where to put the ipsw file?

If you direct download the ipsw file, just put it under -> your home directory -> Library -> iTunes -> iPad Software Updates

For iPhone and iPod, I believe put to the similar named folder too.

Note: if you can’t find the software update folder, just create one.

Upskirt iPhone App

Undoubtedly iPhone has opened new genre of mobile applications. Recently BottleCube Inc. released PUFF!、ぱふパフ！！, an upskirt “game” featuring gravure idols *A.K.A adult movie star*. You can blow or flick the screen to upskirt the girls in it.

They try to find another “unusual” way to pleasing desires. After bored with the regular way, they create the derivation one. For me it doesn’t make any sense why would anyone buy that app? Maybe japan has a lot of potential buyer perverts or maybe there are a lot of people like this kind of amusement out there indeed. Do you like this app? Check out the ad video, you might one of those perverts too.

iPod Touch Ad

Apple recenly following Nintendo’s creative ad that interactively changing the user’s webpage like in Wario’s ad in youtube. This iPod Touch ad was put into Yahoo Games, if you are not lucky enough to see it, check this video out.

iTunes store account without a Credit Card

I’ve been wanting to have my iTunes store account to get freebies in there. One of my friend told me that Indonesian CCs are not received since there were many carder from Indonesia. A proud thing to mention especially in Indonesian Independent day .

I got a hint how to get an account without using my CC. It’s quite simple. The outlines are as follow:

Get your self with a code to redeem in iTunes store. Go googling with keyword “free itunes redeem”. One of them is here.
Switch your iTunes store in your iTunes to the country where the code works. For the example above is US.
Click Redeem on quick links. It’s on right sidebar and put in the code.
When you are prompted to login, click Create Account (It’s what we are trying to do right?).
Fill your personal data, the tricky part is you have to put real zip code, city and state. You can use US Postal service website to peek.
On billing page, you’ll notice there are a new option there. None !
Continue and you just created you own account without using a credit card.

The sample code in link above is still working when I wrote this. Hope you can find a working one. Best of luck and fetch those freebies in there (free tuesday or free iPhone apps)

Lotus Notes, iPhone vs Windows Mobile

IBM in this near future will release iNotes for iPhone to complete the client application of the Domino server. Previously IBM just launched Notes Traveller for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 users to reap the wide spread MS Windows Mobile market. Since the iPhone have a huge success, IBM start to take this opportunity to bring iPhone into Enterprise level mobile client with ultralite technology using Domino Web Access infrastructure.

This iNotes for iPhone come with Apple style client. Clean and “beautiful” unlike the cramped and boring Windows Mobile. Now make excuse to get an iPhone in the Enterprise. Working with style, any notes user surely can’t agree more.
