SPRANQ released a font that readable but at the same time use less ink/toner to print. They called it Ecofont. It’s a white dotted font set, sound simple but it’s been engineered while using less ink/toner but still pleasant for the eyes to read. It’s based on Vera Sans, an open source font. So it’s free. Go get it here and use this font when printing.

So, use less, less waste and resource used. Less money spent, better environment. Everyone is winning.

If you don’t have any clue about this card, this card is a real money replacer.  This card can hold money up to 1 million rupiah. Just put this card on the electronic payment terminal and the payment will take place without requesting PIN and the merchant won’t ask any signature. This card can be recharged in any non cash ATM. The main idea are less money in wallet means simpler and faster transaction.

After trying to use this card seveal time, it was not up to the expectation.

I tried to to pay for lunch in PIM 2 foodcourt, it was doner kebab. The cashier was inexperienced to use this payment card. The cashier said it was her first time to receive a payment using this card and she don’t have any idea how to make the terminal work with the cash register. Fail on my first attempt to use this card.

My second attempt was make a payment  in a gas station. The employee skilfully process the payment using this card. And of course the payment after finishing filling the gas tank. In term of time, not very efficient since I usually make the payment while filling the tank. But in term of money, flazz card give more freedom to fill the tank and pay what you buy without any rounding to the nearer thousand rupiah.

Third attempt, payment at a stall in a mal food court. Can’t remember where. I expect it will be faster using this card than paying in cash. But in action, using this card add several seconds wait up for the flazz transaction receipt from the terminal.

Fourth attempt, payment at a gas station. No love for the card, the terminal was broken.

After that, it’s been months and I don’t even remember having this card.

For now, it’s not up to my expectation but maybe in a year it will give better experience for the card holder after cashiers get adept to it and more merchant adopt this payment method.
